HISTORY
The Dairy building was originally three rooms – a butchery, an engine room and a room for processing milk into cream and whey. The cream and milk were for the homestead, and the whey was for the farm dogs and cats. Dog kennels were located under the existing row of elms and made from hollowed out tree trunks. Speaking of trees, you’ll be able to spot a very special birdhouse from the front porch of The Dairy in the big elm tree.
